With the introduction of tensioning ratchets and universal tensioning straps, it was possible to dispense with drop sides for certain goods. Long-known tarpaulin support structures made of tubular bows served as the basis for the development of a flexible sliding bow superstructure, which enables both fast side loading and easy loading by crane.
