Bodies with solid walls are a mandatory requirement for the transportation of bulk goods. This applies regardless of whether a wheel loader is loading from the side via the wall, through a hopper, via a filling pipe from above or through a rear door. In addition to excavating from above and unloading through a rear door, there is also the option of pushing out or tipping in one or more directions when unloading. Over the course of time, these options have led to the development of increasingly specialized vehicles for different bulk materials and loading conditions. What they all have in common is the fact that, unlike all other applications, the top must be designed to be laterally elastic in order to follow the shape of the wall for reliable operation under all operating conditions.
